NDIS Swim & Personal Training in Hobart

1-on-1 Swim & Personal Training for NDIS Participants
I work with self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants to deliver calm, structured 1-on-1 swim and personal training sessions that support physical capacity, confidence, safety, and overall wellbeing.
Sessions may be delivered:
-
In a private or public pool (including Clarence Aquatic Centre or private pools in Sandy Bay)
-
Outdoors or in suitable gym environments for land-based personal training
-
As swim-only, land-based, or combined (gym-swim) sessions, depending on participant goals and needs
All sessions use a patient, step-by-step approach and are adapted to each participant’s sensory preferences, communication style, energy levels, and functional goals. Family members and support workers are welcome to be involved so skills can transfer into everyday life.
NDIS-aligned supports include:
-
1-on-1 swimming instruction (private or public pool)
-
1-on-1 personal training (land-based or outdoor)
-
Water confidence, safety skills, and stroke development
-
Strength, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular fitness
-
Gradual progression to open-water confidence (when appropriate)
-
Structured programs aligned with participant goals
-
Collaboration with families, support workers, and allied health professionals
Funding & billing:
Funding for these sessions is most commonly claimed under Capacity Building – Improved Health and Wellbeing (Category 12) in line with current NDIS Pricing Arrangements.
Some participants and plan managers may choose to use Core Supports where this aligns with the participant’s goals and plan flexibility.
I can’t provide individual funding advice, so please confirm with your support coordinator, planner, or plan manager which category best suits your plan.
