Stroke Lab — 8-Week Stroke Development Program

An 8-week stroke development program for adults — four swimmers per group, your stroke on video, and a clear plan for what to fix, in what order, and why. Next intake starts Friday 18 & Sunday 20 September.

How Stroke Lab Works

You finish a lap more out of breath than you should be. Your legs sink the moment you stop kicking hard. You’ve plateaued and more laps aren’t fixing it. Or the swim is the leg of your triathlon you quietly dread. If that sounds familiar, Stroke Lab was built for you. One coached 60-minute session a week for eight weeks — deck briefing, then structured work in the water. Your stroke is filmed in weeks 1, 4 and 8 so you can see the change, not just feel it, with video feedback during the week. Between sessions you get one clear focus, simple swim homework, and swim-specific mobility work. In the warmer months, week 7 includes an open-water skills session.

Next intake: Friday 18 September (7am & 8am) and Sunday 20 September (1pm & 2pm) at Clarence Aquatic Centre. Maximum four swimmers per group. $95 per week for the eight weeks — YMCA members save $10 a week, just mention your membership when you book. Four spots per group — once they’re gone, the next intake is late November.
